This group started as the result of a public request for lunches for those in need from Serve Moses Lake. Since January 3, 2017 we’ve been meeting to make lunches, soliciting donations and volunteers to make it all happen. It is with community support we’re able to provide 170 sack lunches every week to those that need a simple meal of peanut butter & jelly, chips, granola bar and applesauce. Please help give back anyway you can. You can make a financial donation directly on our website and these funds go towards purchasing the supplies we need on a weekly basis. You an also purchase items yourself and get to us, we’ll even pick them up! Or purchase on our Amazon Wish List.
In March of 2022 we officially became a non-profit. Our mission and purpose is to come together to support other local non-profits fulfill their missions. We do that through solicitation of volunteers, solicitation of funds to purchase needed items for donation or assisting with other needs the non-profits may have. We will also promote local non-profits and promote giving back to our community.
We are a group of local Moses Lake, Washington givers, some have given financially, some have done food drives or donated supplies and some give of their time on a weekly basis. We gather every Tuesday at 4:30pm at the Elks (across from McDonald’s on Stratford Road – parking behind the building) to make sack lunches that are distributed at the local food bank, Serve Moses Lake and at the Open Doors Sleep Center to those in need. We only need to give 30 minutes of our time but we all know that together we are making a difference to those in need.
